Good bye my dear friend Jian Ho!

Jian, Peter, and I were very close friends as we were classmates of NSFH elementary school. He lived in Shilin, and we spent many weekends there as our country retreat for we City Boys. Jian always so nice to invite of us, we walked along the rice peddies, fishing minnows; his Mom's dumplings were the best. As we growing older, we were in the same High School but different classes. We admired his fancy bicycle, he was so kind to let us ride a while. He went to Taichong for College, but we stillget together frequetly.

After college, many of us came to US, he went to Canada. We losed contact for 40 yrs. We finally made contact when he moved to LA area. We were so exited to see him again. I can say that He was the favorate person in all the classmates reunion events. Attached are few photos to show our happy time together.

We know he operated a successful Industral Fiberglas/Plastic Grating Supply Company, msny our engineering projects used the products for many years. Jim (Jian) has great reputation in the industrial product business.

Jian and Margaret are very proud of their daugher and son in law, they heiped Jian's industrial business and moved it to Henderson, NV. Also etreme proud her duaghter has the Children Shoe Business. Most of all, they love the two grand duughters, we received many group pictures of the family!

Jian is the most brave and optismist person I have ever known; since he had the health issues. He iwas so positive, he dedicated his time for treatment, but also dedicated his time to travel, with Margaret, and his family. We all admire him and encouraged by him greatly.

Now he left ahead of us! Jian, we miss you, our dear friend Jian Ho!

May peace and comfort with Jian Ho's family. You are in our prayers!

Dear Angela,

We are very sorry to learn the sad news about your father. Less than three weeks ago, we spoke with your father and he sounded very happy and healthy in Las Vegas. I thought he went to Las Vegas for a leisure trip, not knowing that you and your family live in that city.

We remember him as a very kind, cheerful, and full-of-energy person. He informed us about his battle with cancer, but he was very optimistic about his illness. He was a true fighter, and we looked to him as our role model.

We are deeply sorry for not being able to come to Las Vegas to attend his memorial service and give our final respects to him in person, due to a scheduled international trip. Please give our condolences to your mother and your family. In this difficult time, if we can do anything for all of you, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Best Regards,

Chah and Shu-Jen F. Shen

It has been a difficult 10 years for you and the family, but every time I saw him, I said the same “Jim’s looking good”. In spite of it all, he was always upbeat, always had a big toothy grin on his face and always had a kind word.
As much as your Dad was key in forming the smart, intelligent woman you are today, I don’t think you know how important he was to our industry. Always pushing the envelope of manufacturing, always the innovator and always keeping the competition wondering how he does it. When I was at Fibergrate 15 years ago - they, rightfully so - feared him! And AGL was just getting started!
I am so glad I had the opportunity to work for your Dad, Jim. It is not in everyone’s lifetime to be able to work for an entrepreneur, a consummate innovator and someone who reshaped an industry some 20 or more years after it began!
Ken Berg, Vice President Engineering, American Grating LLC

Hang in there. I know it’s a tough time. He was a pretty cool dad. Lucky to have you as a daughter on so many levels. He had tons of time to get to know the girls and they will have fantastic memories of him. It doesn’t happen very often like that. They are lucky and so was he. Lots of ladies to love him in his last years and he really made the most of his time. Riding a motorcycle in Suzhou at the age of 65 with metastatic colon cancer. He sounds like Steve McQueen and he was your uber cool dad!
Dr. Michelle Melany, Family Friend

Your dad was an inspiration to a lot of people. He changed the way that I looked at things. He was always so positive and did so much more as a person with terminal cancer than others who didn’t have cancer. He will be very missed.
Dr. Edward Hutchison, Internist for last 3 years

Your father was my father’s best friend, knowing your father so long when I was a boy until now. He done very well, we will always remember him. He is in a better place now. I am proud to be your friend forever.
